Creating space for people involves a balance of structural integrity, efficient design and use of materials, artistry and sweat.

The project can be as small as a covered potting area and coldframe or a whole  studio building and that equation holds true.  The potting shed, with its organic look, is both useful, and helps minimize visual exposure to the neighbor's house.  You can see more about the studio here, using your browser's 'back' button to return.

These two buildings make use of lots of recycled materials and slab wood that might otherwise have been wasted.  Both were made to be easily disassembled for transport, trailered, or moved with a boom truck.
The 6' x 8' greenhouse has a window that hinges at the top for ventilation and a handcrafted door. It can be yours for $2300.

The 4' x 6' building was originally intended to be a pumphouse, so it has an insulated metal door and a thermal pane window opposite. The floor is 1-1/8" plywood and the structure is weather tight, with 1/2" sheathing under the slab wood.
$1600.

Both these buildings are in Clinton, and you can get more information from Paul about them or any other project you need help with at iddins@whidbey.com.
